Byzantine Weights, Circa 5th-7th centuries. Weight of 2 Ounkia (?) (Orichalcum, 26x27 mm, 50.02 g), a square weight with plain edges. Chi-Rho and Z, both inlaid in silver. Rev. Blank. Bendall -. MAH -. Pera -. Highly unusual and interesting. Somewhat corroded, otherwise, very fine.

The weight of this highly unusual weight is roughly that of 2 Ounkia; however, it is marked with a value of Z = 7, which does not fit any known weight standard
